My career is built on the intersection of New York’s avant-garde brand strategy and Italy’s uncompromising industrial craftsmanship. Born and trained in Italy, I developed my technical foundation working alongside the world’s most demanding luxury houses.
Through my tenure collaborating with manufacturing powerhouses like La.i.pe, I have engineered hardware, structured tech packs, and overseen production pipelines for heritage brands including Vivienne Westwood and Valextra.
I founded PMPNY Design Studio to offer global brands direct access to this elite level of European manufacturing. I bridge the critical gap between a creative director’s ‘Blue Sky’ concept and the factory floor’s rigid reality. Whether engineering custom hardware or sourcing sustainable biomaterials, my mandate is simple: build products that disrupt the market and scale effortlessly.
PMPNY Design Studio is a specialized industrial fashion and brand architecture practice led by Francesco Pimpinicchio.
Operating out of New York City with a robust international supply chain, the studio is dedicated to building structural, highly-engineered product foundations for the global luxury market.
Honing his craft within the elite Italian manufacturing sector at La.i.pe, the same facility trusted by Vivienne Westwood, Berluti, and Valextra, Francesco executed the commercial strategy for Cromia’s highest-performing collections. He engineered the best-selling Nubia line and developed the iconic Ginger hardware system, which was so commercially successful it was carried over for two consecutive seasons and adapted into a signature matelassé iteration.
Today, PMPNY pairs those heritage leather-working principles with a vast network of top-tier manufacturing partners across Asia and Europe. By combining this global production capability with cutting-edge AI visualization, 3D prototyping, and digital brand architecture, the studio engineers not just products, but entire physical and digital ecosystems.
